Guardianship
Guardianship is a court proceeding in which a judge gives a responsible adult custody of a minor child, power over the child's estate, or both. Usually grandparents or other family members will assume this responsibility when parents are not available to care for their children. If you are in that situation, we will guide you through the process of the guardianship application including preparation of the necessary pleadings and attendance at all court proceedings, while providing you with the legal counseling you need to deal with what is often a very difficult and emotional situation.
